Why Banks Didn’t “Rip and Replace” Their Mainframes

There’s been a lot of talk (and articles written) lately about replacing mainframes. The usual reasons have more to do with the perceived lack of qualified people to work on mainframes due to retirements or lack of interest, than with problems with the mainframes themselves. So, it’s good to see examples of companies who aren’t trying to find reasons to get rid of their mainframes…
