The IBM Z Academic Initiative is designed to help colleges and universities help their new specialists hit the ground running on IBM Z and LinuxONE hardware and software. IBM and Vicom Infinity work with colleges and universities, supplying them with free online access to the IBM Z courseware, hardware, and software to train the next generation of mainframe system programmers and users. IBM and Vicom Infinity can also conduct on-campus roundtables with industry and government to design curriculum that is beneficial to the school, faculty, students, and industry.
