June 17-19th 2018 Enterprise Computing Community (ECC) NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Folks, we are a sponsor again of the 2018 Marist ECC event scheduled June 17-19th. Yours truly will be presenting on behalf of the Linux Foundation Open Mainframe Project and Vicom Infinity. Also the Blockchain intern Kevin Lee that Alex and I helped mentor will be presenting his successful ImmuniChain Project based on Blockchain technology. The ECC National Conference for 2018  hosted by Marist College will be held on Sunday, June 17th through Tuesday, June 19th, 2018
Each June, for the past nine years, Marist has hosted the Enterprise Computing Community Conference with collaboration from our esteemed partners and sponsors.  We are pleased to invite you and your colleagues to join us and celebrate our 10th Annual ECC National Conference.  

The conference schedule will open with a Sunday evening reception on June 17th followed by all day sessions on Monday, June 18th and Tuesday, June 19th. There is no charge for registration but seating is limited to 300 this year so please register early. For conference registration, please go to:  https://ecc.marist.edu/web/conference2018

Our Monday evening corporate sponsored event will include a reception and tour at Sprout Creek Farm, a Marist Operated Business. Please note that this event will be a subscription event with the expected cost of $25 per person.  Payment will be required upon your reconfirmation request.

Enterprise Computing Community Conference Plans:
Our 10th Annual ECC National Conference will include plenary sessions focused on educational, practitioner and research topics in enterprise computing. The sessions will include keynote speeches, presentations, demonstrations and panel discussions on new technologies in several different areas. Our themes for the 10th ECC Conference are on Disruptive Technologies in the Enterprise and The Internet of Things.   Submissions are encouraged on the themes of the 2018 conference but may be submitted on other Enterprise Computing topics as well.

  • Donald J. Duet, President and COO of Vapor.io & Senior Advisor, McKinsey Corporation –  Don is an accomplished leader in successfully developing and executing business and technology strategy. Don spent 28 years in senior technology roles at Goldman Sachs. Don currently is President and COO of Vapor.io, an emerging leader in the rapidly growing field of Edge computing infrastructure, as well as a Senior Advisor at McKinsey Corporation.
  • Irving Wladawsky-Berger, Emeritus, IBM and Visiting Faculty, MIT – Irving retired from IBM on May 31, 2007 after 37 years with the company, where he was responsible for identifying emerging technologies and marketplace developments that are critical to the future of the IT industry. Since retiring from IBM, he has been a Strategic Adviser on Digital Strategy and Innovation at Citigroup, at HBO and at Mastercard. Irving has also been writing a weekly blog,irvingwb.com, since 2005; in April of 2012 he became a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal’s CIO Journal.
  • Markus van Kempen, Executive Architect & Venture Capitalist, IBM – Markus is a Venture Capitalist within IBM Corporate Strategy at CHQ. He is responsible for working across IBM to design, develop and support PoC proposals with IBM teams and customers. Markus specializes in the Internet of Things projects and also brings 15+ years of consulting and implementation experience in SAP and Mobile on global projects, as well as skills as a software engineer.

Call for Papers, Presentations and Panels:

Submitters will be notified of the program committee decision by May 25, 2018.  Accepted papers will be presented by their author(s) and will be published on the ECC National Conference website shortly after the conference.
