Access IBM Content from Oracle OpenWorld 2017!

Posted on

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a month since Oracle OpenWorld.  This was IBM’s most successful participation at OpenWorld to date.  With 4000 unique visitors to our booth (and nearly 8000 total visits), we were far busier than past years, and even had a booth full of visitors during the last open hour of the exhibit hall, underscoring the energy in our space.

Our IBM Systems presence was our biggest footprint ever.  We had four physical hardware systems and 7 pedestals with content from demonstrations to presentations.  In addition, we delivered 16 live sessions in the IBM Booth Theater and every one of them was standing room only.  We also had two speaking sessions in the general conference with over 100 attending our Power Systems centric presentation, “Ingesting Data from Oracle Database 12cR2 in a Hadoop System.”  This was quite a year.

For our hardware business partners, our telesales teams are following up with booth visitors and will be passing along sales leads to our partners as appropriate.  For those of you that would like to leverage some of our assets from Oracle OpenWorld, please send a note to the IBM Oracle International Competency Center (ICC) and request a copy of any of the following presentations:

  • IBM LinuxOne for Oracle: Discover the Possible
  • Storage Solutions for Internet of Things
  • How to Store Data Like a CSP
  • CPU Reduction with IBM FlashSystem
  • Enabling IBM Storwize V7000 Unified storage for Oracle x86 Linux RAC databases
  • Cloudy with a chance of Data
  • IBM DS8880F All-Flash Data Systems
  • Ingesting Data from Oracle Database 12cR2 into a Hadoop System
  • A Better Oracle Experience with POWER and Vendita MAS
  • Increase Oracle Database and Application Availability: IBM PowerHA and Hyperswap

The ICC can also help you schedule a demonstration of FlashSystem, POWER8, Vendita MAS, DS8000, IBM LinuxONE, or any of our other Oracle offerings.

Happy Selling!

Doug
