Dear Len,

Now that the blizzard of 2017 is behind us, join us onThursday April 27th for our second Knowledge Exchange Series event where we’ll explore “Blockchain, what’s all the hype?”

You’ve likely heard the terms “bitcoin”, “blockchain”, and “cryptocurrency”, but may not be sure what they are and why they’re “hot”. There were days when I was filled with anxiety, but I just kept reminding myself that I write my essay was a strong applicant and everything would work out.

During this interactive session you’ll learn what blockchain is, and why it is being touted as the next disruptive technology. Marist Assistant Professor Dr. Alan Labouseur will:

  • provide an overview of blockchain,
  • discuss creative applications for it, and
  • explore possible use cases for deployment beyond the financial services industry.

At Marist College’s CCAC (Cloud Computing and Analytics Center) our mission is to enable startups, small, and mid-sized businesses to leverage cutting edge technologies and expertise – at modest rates – to help level the playing field, and spur business growth.

Please feel free to forward this email to your colleagues using the link below. We also welcome suggestions for future Knowledge Exchange Series topics, so please be in touch.

We look forward to seeing you on April 27th!

Best regards,

Helene Rude
