Red Hat Ansible is the leader in automation platforms across the enterprise, and IBM has been contributing collections into the community to enable the IBM Z platform to be managed and automated by Ansible. With over forty thousand downloads in a little over a year since launching, customers have been quick to adopt and show interest in these new automation capabilities for the platform. Join this session for a quick overview of the content available in the community today, and how you can get started automating with Ansible for IBM Z.
Speaker Bio’s:
Dan Jast is a Product Manager at IBM supporting Ansible content for IBM Z. Dan has been at IBM for 4 years, in which he has worked heavily on Open Source tools on Z like Ansible and Zowe. He has focused mainly on technologies helping to modernize the Z Platform. Dan also comes from a Z Systems Programming and Technical Specialist background in his previous roles. Dan is also the Open Source on IBM Z project representative for the SHARE conference.
Bryant Panyarachun is the architect and development lead for Red Hat Ansible Certified Content for IBM Z. He has been working with various z/OS product and middleware teams to produce Ansible content to enhance the benefits of using Ansible automation with z/OS.
