Microsoft’s .NET (dot Net) is now an open source development platform. Developers can use .NET to build cross-platform cloud and console applications that run on Linux and Windows.
Microsoft’s decision to make .NET Core open source and cross-platform means it’s time for Linux developers to get comfortable and start experimenting.
